Our story

The team AL&AL was born in 2008 in Baia, in the heart of the Gulf of Naples, at the historic Basilio Postiglione Shipyard. It emerged from the deep love for the sea and the thrill of speed shared by two Italian entrepreneurs, Alfredo Amato and Alfredo Nuzzo. Together, they chose to transform that passion into a mission, dedicating their journey to the memory of their dear friend and powerboat racing enthusiast, Sergio Carpentieri.

Their offshore story began when they were barely twenty, driven by courage and ambition. Competing in the Italian F3 Championship, they took on the legendary “Venice–Montecarlo” race, where Alfredo Amato claimed a stunning victory — a moment that revealed not only his talent, but the spirit and determination that would define the team’s future.

From the very beginning, AL&AL has been more than a professional racing team — it has been a story of friendship, passion, and loyalty. A story where courage meets the open water.

Today, AL&AL stands among the most historic and respected teams in international powerboat racing, carrying forward the values of the sport and the unmistakable excellence of Italy in the World Championship series.
